    Hi Joel,
I heard about a wine called “Black Bubbly” Can you tell me more about it?

  2. wineadmin Says:

    Hi Angela

“Black Bubbly” is a “carbonated red wine” . Once you get past the initial shock of red wine with bubbles in it—not pink wine, but good old red wine, except chilled and fizzy !

Definitely worth the price of a bottle just to surprise your friends at the next dinner party.

    Joel,

You and Paul have filled a much needed void for an upscale winebar spot in Port Angeles! I’ve enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and great wines each time I’ve been in to visit. Keep up the good work and I look forward to your Grand Opening as well as continued success.

I have a bottle of covery run 3 liter syrah 2003 columbia valley wine. I was wonderif this wine is good and what the cost of this would be.

Thank you for time and getting back to my question.

    Hello there Joel,

I am coming into PA for a long weekend over labor day and I am looking for the optimal WA wine experience. Can you direct me towards some standouts that will split my palate in two. I am a big guy, but I do like a chardonnay by but by night I turn into a frat boy meat head and revert to my love for big reds.

    Throw me a bone,

P.S I will come by and see you

What is the phone number for the wine bar? I am having a hard time finding it!
    Thanks

  8. wineadmin Says:

Sorry about that. The Phone Number ( 360-565-8466) is now on the main web site page along with current hours… Thanks

    Hello Joel,

    My question is twofold:

I was curious what I should pair some delicious Raw Belon oysters wine?

I recently ran across a couple of bottles from Spain’s Priorato region, do you think Priorato reds pair well with local NW seafood? if so, which type?

Thanks for a local wine blog, we need it in the PNW.

The answer to the ultimate Washington Wine experience is tough because of the amount of quality wineries all over our state. Let me guide you however to a more condensed area: the Olympic Peninsula! We have some very talented wine makers here who are buying first rate grapes, striving for better methods and using unique grape varietals. As for a great chardonnay I recommend Domain Drouhin “Arthur”, which has been called one of the most elegant Chardonnays in America. For a big fat red why not stay local and try the Harbinger “El Jefe”…this wine lives up to the name! Hope you enjoy your long weekend and I hope to see you at Wine on the Waterfront!

Your question is a good one! I searched a couple of old auctions and your bottle of Covey Run 2003 Syrah is estimated at $70-$100. It is of course possible to get more if sold privately! Large format wines are worth hanging onto because wineries typically release them in limited production and can stand as great heirlooms. 3 Liters of wine is always good Holidays or special occasions with friends as well! Thanks for question!
